I'm sorry, this is a long one...
Chad and Marcus are a spectacular pair of seven-year-old brothers who have been dealt the most unfair hand I think we have ever seen!!! They are once again looking for a stable, loving, forever home together. Despite their rough life, they are the sweetest boys you will ever meet. I know we said this last time, but c'mon this must be their forever home. Someone out there must be capable of keeping their commitment to them.
They were first rescued from a local animal control shelter. It turns out that we had met them before when the owner reached out for help the previous summer. We offered to help and completely vetted them but then she disappeared. That turned out to be very sad for these sweet boys because they were in horrible condition when they were ultimately surrendered to the shelter. Their coats were matted beyond belief.
Fortunately, the shelter folks called us immediately. We got them into our vet and began the process of getting them on the road to health and wellness. They were then adopted to what we hoped was their forever home, but they returned to us, through no fault of theirs. We dealt with the subsequent issues and they were once again happy, healthy sweet, loving boys.
They were then adopted to someone responding to the "this must be their forever home" post in 2018. Cut to Feb 2022, when the adopter tells us that she is overwhelmed by an occasionally visiting grandchild and just can't keep them anymore!! Petfinder would likely expel us if we posted what we wanted to say, so slow deep breaths and we'll move forward...
Despite everything, they are the most fabulous boys! They are playful and affectionate and deserve only the most loving, devoted family to make sure that they know they are loved for the rest of their lives. The must go together. And though we recognize that unforeseen things happen in life, please think carefully about what making a commitment means and do not apply if you are not in it for real.
