This precious 3 year old girl was brought into our vet clinic very very sick. She hadn't eaten in a week, had a very high fever and by the time she got to the clinic she was in very bad shape. The family could not afford her vet care and were considering euthanasia. We just couldn't let them do that and we offered to take her into our program if they would surrender her. She was in the hospital for several days but eventually started to turn the corner. After much testing and investigation it was determined that she had Addison's disease. We have since been able to level out her hormones and she is responding well to her medications. She will always need her medicine and will need to have blood tests to monitor her condition. However, with consistent medication she can live a long healthy life. Her foster mom just adores her. She is a very sweet loving girl.
